Mel's Feed and Consignment sells both new and pre-owned consignment equestrian tack and equipment. Product descriptions will indicate whether an item is new or used.

We reserve the right to:

Modify or discontinue products at any time without notice

Refuse or cancel orders at our sole discretion

Correct errors in pricing, descriptions, or availability

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes and shipping fees will be calculated at checkout.

Full payment is required at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to pricing errors or suspected fraud.

4. Product Condition Disclaimer

All consignment items are sold “as is” and “as available,” with no guarantees or warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, or safety, except where required by law.

While we strive for accuracy:

Pre-owned items may show wear, aging, or imperfections

Prior care and storage conditions cannot be verified

5. Safety-Critical Equipment Disclaimer

Equestrian equipment is inherently safety-critical and may fail if improperly used, fitted, or maintained.

By purchasing, you agree that:

You are responsible for inspecting all items before each use

Proper fit and adjustment are your responsibility

Items should be evaluated by a qualified professional before use

Helmets and protective equipment are not guaranteed and may lose effectiveness due to age, impact, or storage conditions

6. Assumption of Risk

Horseback riding and handling involve inherent risks. By purchasing and using products from this website and in store, you voluntarily assume all risks, including risk of injury, damage, or loss.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of Ontario and Canada:

Mel's Feed and Consignment is not liable for any injury, loss, or damages arising from use or misuse of any product

This includes direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential damages

Maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the item giving rise to the claim

8. Returns & Final Sale Policy

Unless otherwise stated:

All consignment (used) items are final sale

New items may be eligible for return or exchange only if explicitly stated in the product listing

To qualify for any approved return:

Items must be unused and in original condition

Return requests must be made within 30 days of delivery

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.

9. Shipping & Delivery

We are not responsible for:

Delays caused by carriers

Lost or stolen packages after confirmed delivery

Risk transfers to the buyer upon shipment unless otherwise required by law.

10. Consignment Terms (for Sellers)

If you accept consignors, include:

By consigning items with Mel's Feed and Consignment, you agree that:

You are the legal owner of the items

Items are free of liens or encumbrances

You authorize us to price, market, and sell the item at our discretion

Commission rates and payout timelines are outlined in a separate consignment agreement

We reserve the right to refuse items at our discretion.

All content on this website—including text, images, logos, and branding—is the property of Mel's Feed and Consignment and may not be copied or used without permission.
